OOTD // How to wear brands discretely! ft. New Balance Revlite.

Today’s post has been something I’ve wanted to post for a while. As you all know I love a variety of different clothing and footwear brands. Some I wear more often compared to others. One of the hardest things can be to style bold logo’s. I think I might do a series of these posts with a different outfit each time. (Do let me know if that something you’d like to see).

MOTO Mid Blue Step Hem Jamie Jeans – Topshop.  I know these jeans are supposed to be for summer. BUT I love them so much that I can’t not wear them. Styled correctly you can wear them all year round, whether that’s with a thick knit jumper or even a t-shirt how I’ve worn it. You can add layers like a scarf or coat to add that extra comfort but the autumn style too so it’s a win win.

Sketchy Riper T-Shirt by Vans – Topshop. I love Vans and this t-shirt was too me to not get. I love how it has the little logo and California on the front and then BAM the back it’s all coming to life with the large bold print. It’s such a nice fit and can be styled so many different ways. With either culottes, jeans and even trousers. I also imagined it looking super good with some black Adidas joggers as the two paired together would look super cool.

*New Balance 247 Womens – JD Sports. I’ve so many shoes but not a single pair that are grey! I’ve wanted a pair of New Balance for the longest time! I finally have some! Can we just appreciate how beautiful they are! I love the design of them almost knitted which adds so much comfort for your feet it’s unreal. Also, they’re that pair of shoes you could style with an everyday outfit but are perfect to work out in too. I cannot wait to style them with other outfits and wear them I can see me living in them this A/W. I love wearing them they’re super comfy and you could walk forever and your feet can’t feel it because of how they’re designed! I love the almost knitted look to them too.

Bomber Jacket – Topshop. Bomber jackets are perfect to finish an outfit. I’ve been living in mine layering it with hoodies and jumpers, it’s just so versatile. I love how it almost brings the outfit together, tying the jeans and t-shirt in sync with one another.

Black Studded Chain Winged Tote Bag – River Island. I love this tote bag so much which is now also my everyday bag because it’s just the perfect size and is super pretty. I love suede and I think it is really going blow up this A/W so I mean you can’t go wrong with a suede bag and gold hardware right? It’s just so glam with the studs but super casual with the suede – an overall perfect bag for any fashionista.

Michael Kors X Jourdan Dunn Launch Event #MKxJourdanDunn

Last Wednesday myself and a couple of other Manchester bloggers got invited down to Intu Trafford Centre, as Selfridges hosted an event for the launch of Jourdan Dunn’s collection of bags and accessories with Michael Kors.

We were greeted by the lovely event staff once we got there. I’ve got to say I fell in love with the set up of the event. The DJ was Lilah Parsons and oh my is she talented and ever so beautiful!!

We got to see the collection, which ranges from the Rhea backpacks to clutches and even a polaroid camera (which I need ASAP). My favourite colour bag had to be the baby pink one as I think you could style it with so many outfits!! The baby pink is super neutral an would be versatile to pair with both dark and light colour of an outfit.

Once we’d chatted about all thing accessories and discussed what was our favourites, we had a chance to go shoot a 3D boomerang in the little photo booth which was SO fun I’ve got to say that’s the coolest photo booth I’ve been in. Being VIPs at the event we got a selfie pass to meet the lady herself at the event that night Jourdan Dunn! She’s super lovely and even prettier in reality!

We got a selfie and even a cute boomerang (check my Twitter @KiranAlix)! I mean you can’t go wrong going to a blogger event and having a catch up with some of your favourite bloggers.

*Comfort in Camo | JD Women

Comfort is essential in both gym wear as well as lounge wear. I mean everyone knows gym gear is perfect and the most comfortable to lounge around the house in. I thought I’d share with you some of my favourite pieces from the new Ellese collection available in JD Sports now.

Ellese Cropped Over Head Hoodie – I love a hoodie in general and to be fair a cropped hoodie is super easy to style when going to the gym. The matching leggings go perfectly however if you didn’t want to be as bold the black Ellese original leggings would go perfectly. The fit of the hoodie is true to size and is so warm ready for that transition into A/W.

Ellese All Over Print Leggings – The leggings to match the hoodie are such a good fit. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve had a pair of leggings that fit me this well! They’re not at all see through which means you can work out without being cautious and just be comfy. Also, the lilac on the leggings is SO gorgeous can I say at first I thought it was white but pastel colours are so in and it looks trendy!!!

Ellese Padded Jacket – I think this has to be my favourite item of them all. I’ve always wanted a padded jacket and I’m in love I cannot wait to style this in A/W as well as just rock it to the gym. It’s so comfy and isn’t too big which I was afraid of. It fits perfectly and is waterproof so I mean you can’t go wrong.

Black Womens Nike Theas – I love my Nikes they’re so super light on my feet to work out in. They’re the all black ones and are versatile with all my gym outfits as it’s a basic colour so the grey camo looks super good with these.

Nudes & Trousers Trend

The post I’ve been most excited for is finally here! An outfit I’ve been loving recently and literally been living in has finally made up onto the blog.

Trousers have been shown a lot of love recently from culottes to cigarette and tapered trousers everyone has a favourite.

Pink floral tapered trousers – Primark. YES! Primark, id been on the hunt for these since June. As soon as I’d given up I walked into the Selfridges Primark stand and they were there and I couldn’t have picked them any faster! I fell in love them once I tried them on and they’re super easy to style! Either a t-shirt for when it’s sunny or even an off the shoulder top too! Then in Autumn I can’t wait to style them with a white cropped jumper.

White basic tshirt – H&M – I love the basics section in H&M. They do the best fabric for basic t-shirt and you just can’t go wrong. I decided to style the trousers with a plain white t-shirt rather than a drilled sleeve top as the trousers are quite loud so it’s better to style them with something quite basic. So then either way you can dress it up or down according to your preference.

Gold and Pink satin Puma Suedes – OFFICE. I LOVE these trainers as soon as I saw them in store I had to pick them up originally I wanted the all black ones. But as soon as saw these I had to have them! They’re so pretty and super easy to style with SO many outfits as they’re quite neutral. I chose these to wear with the trousers as I wanted a casual look and not anything too bold whereas if I did want a bold outfit I’d have gone with a pair of heels.

Black ray ban esque sunglasses – New Look. I chose to wear my black sunglasses to have a block colour rather than a rose gold or gold as this just adds a little edgy vibe to the girly yet casual outfit.

Black Handbag – Dune. I love this black bag I take it everywhere with me its the perfect size for everyday essentials and can be altered to a cross body bag to which is always handy. Also again with the sunglasses I just wanted to add a loud block colour to this neutral outfit.

I love this combination and can’t wait to also switch it up! It’s super comfy and can be changed to suit the weather by adding a suede biker jacket or even a blue wash denim jacket or maybe even a trench coat!

Trends, newbies and holy grails!

My posting schedule is a mess, I’m truly sorry I’ve just been so busy. It’ll be back to normal soon I promise you.

Chokers and a dark lip haven’t ever left. They’ve always been an option to fall back on. I mean there’s no going wrong. You can add that rock chick vibe to an outfit instantly and sometimes we all want that side of us to shine. I mean I love a choker to add that bold look to my outfit if I’m feeling a little bare. Even in the summer a pastel choker isn’t something to say no to. However maybe the dark lip is a little less popular. As people tend to go for more the glossy lighter lip look.

Highlighter (by Sleek – limited edition) never fails to amaze me. Adds such a wonderful glow which lasts all day. Blinding but on trend on Instagram as everyone’s look is completed with a finishing sweep of highlight.

Silver hoops have wormed their way back in with one of the most unexpected appearances. In trend during the Noughties yet people wanted this trend to not come back. It’s back and better than ever. The Hadid sisters, and Love Islands popular Olivia, Gabby, Amber and Camilla have been rocking them in and out the villa. I’ve been loving them and cannot wait to style them with evening and day outfits as earings have to be one of my favourites.

Hand cream remains as one of my favourite products which has a home in my hand bag, my car and a collection on my dressing table. A newbie I received recently  is from the Crabtree and Evelyn’s Gardeners collection. It contains nutrient-rich shea butter which is my favourite and I love this as it’s absorbed by hands super quickly leaving them feeling lovely.

*Jewellery haul with Unicorn Born!

With my stereotypical obsession of unicorns I came into contact with the jewellery brand Unicorn Born owned by the lovely lady Fee and wanted all of you to see how unique her handmade jewellery is which makes it so special.

The slim velvet choker  caught my attention immediately as it was super thin which I love as it’s not too alarming and can add that 70’s vibe to any outfit no matter how you style it. Previously, with chokers I’ve bought they’ve ended up loose after a couple of times I’ve worn them and didn’t quite fit my neck how I’d wanted it. However, I wore this choker and it fitted perfectly, I’ll keep you updated whether or not it does loosen after a while.

Another one of my personal favourites is the Twisted ring which is perfect for stacking if you love your rings like me. It’s such a good fit especially with other rings its super adorable and dainty. You can add either statement rings to spice it up a little or other rings similar to it to be more casual. It’s such good quality too, which I wasn’t quite expecting it to be if I’m honest.

Unicorn Born have fast delivery and you receive all your items in the cutest packaging as you can see above so do head over and check it for more quirky handmade jewellery.

Noir [all black everything]

I have so many outfits I’ve been loving but it has been way to cold to go out and shoot so I thought I’d have to get a post up under any circumstances so I have and this has to be one of my favourite outfits.

Metallic Longline Eyelet T-Shirt – River Island.  I saw this in-store and I couldn’t not have it. I love how these metallica t-shirts have been on trend so I thought I’d hop on kind of. It’s so simplistic but then quite bold and can be styled so easily.

Black Zip High Rise Leggings – River Island.  Whilst shopping I picked up these as I’ve been looking for jeans quite similar but with zips over the knees(which I’m still on the hunt for) If anyone knows where I’d be able to get some do let me know. However, these are so comfy and honestly you can’t get better leggings than River Island.

Oversized Shearling Biker Jacket – Warehouse.  I love this jacket more than words can explain. You can rock it everyday of the week. It’s so comfy and super stylish and again has been on-trend and honestly if you haven’t got one, please get one they’re perfect.

Nike SB Stefan Janoski – JD Sports. I love skateboard shoes I mean I don’t know if it’s just me. I don’t skateboard but oh I could buy SB shoes forever I love my Vans and I indeed love Nike SB. They’re so simple yet can be added to any outfit just to add that cool vibe and you can never forget how comfy they are.

Silver Glam Watch – Swatch.  Finally, I can’t go without my Swatch it’s just so pretty and ‘glam’ as the name states.
