My Teeth Whitening Routine…

As important as a skincare routine is, I think looking after your teeth and ensuring they’re white is just as important. As you may know I’ve been using Carbo Coco for a while, however they have brought out a sweet mint range. I am obsessed, I love it more than the original I’ve got to say.

If you don’t already know Carbon Coco is a brand born in Australia, all their products are 100% natural. Activated charcoal is the secret to whiter teeth – find out more here.

Carbon Coco Sweet Mint – The sweet mint activated charcoal is better than the original in my opinion, as I love that it has a little flavour. I now prefer using powder to whiten my teeth rather than strips as they do irritate my teeth a little. It’s honestly so easy from dipping your tooth brush into the powder, brushing for three minutes and then brushing your teeth with the charcoal toothpaste. It’s never been easier to get white teeth. For better results if you use it at night regularly – it works a dream.

Let me know what your teeth whitening routine is if you have one! Comment below.

4 years of Blogging…

Today’s post is a special one, as you have probably guessed. Today is my blog birthday (you all know I love a good celebration). I cannot believe I’ve had this small space on the internet for a whole 4 years, sharing all my favourite things. It has flown by and I’ve loved every single minute (even the times where I’ve had writers block believe it or not).

*Father’s day gifts with Cheerz!

As Father’s day is around the corner, I thought why not share some gift ideas with you guys. For if you’ve been busy and totally forgot or even if your prepared and feel like your missing something – this one’s for you! I think Father’s day can go one of two ways either your good to go and know what your dad wants or he doesn’t tell you and your stuck.

*Retro magnets – One of the gifts I love is fridge magnets. I think this is just the perfect way to share memories and interact almost. I love these retro magnets as they are the shape of a polaroid and have room at the bottom if you want to add a caption via the Cheerz site or even add one on with a whiteboard marker which I think would work really well.

*Framed photo – Photos in frames always go down a treat. There’s nothing more special than a story behind a photo. As to why I love the photo I chose for the frame. It’s such an easy way to add to a large gift with multiple little gifts like the retro magnets. I love keepsakes I mean I think everyone does so you know you can’t go wrong. I know my dad will love having this on his desk or wherever he decides to put it.

#NationalCreativityDay with Reeves!

As you may or may not know National Creativity Day is coming up on May 30th. We all love being creative no matter in what way that may be. I’ve decided to do a little post showing you my favourite ways to get creative with Reeves.

I’m quite passionate about fashion and I love to style pieces and changing the looks of pieces whether that’s to spice an outfit up or change the look entirely.

Reeves have a selection of creative sets and tools. I used the set of pencils and the acrylic sketch pad to draw a couple of fashion illustrations. I think is a good way to gain inspiration from seeing outfits online as well as on Instagram and draw down your ideas. I love how this turned out and with the water colour pencils I cannot wait to add colour and dimension to the illustrations.

I also tried out Scrapefoil for the first time. I love how my Gold Scrapefoil of this parrot turned out and cannot wait to try more images out and improve along the way. It’s quite hard when you first start but once you get into the swing of things it’s actually quite easy and therapeutic if I say so myself the concentration is so real.

I cannot wait to carry on with my fashion illustrations, I really want to try watercolour paint on the illustrations. As I think this will look really simplistic but effective at the same time. You can check out all the products Reeves have on the website here. They also have a selection of guides you can follow and get inspiration from by clicking here.

Top tips for travelling abroad..

It’s been a long time, a really long time since I last sat down and did a blog post. I’ve been away for some time and had quite a busy schedule but i’m back.

As I went away I thought I’d share a couple of travelling tips with you that I noticed and a couple of hacks I noted as well.

Always read up on the important information – Most of the time we think we know when our flights due, what amount of luggage is allowed and what time we’re going to arrive but in reality you can never be too sure. Make sure you have read up precisely on all the crucial information and got all your documents and tickets at the get go.

Eat up before boarding – If your anything like me and are picky with your food grab something to eat from McDonalds or even a meal deal from Boots because for me airplane food is a no go and i can’t think of anything worse than being hungry whilst on the plane.

Have a camera/phone handy – Every moment is one to capture as cliché as it sounds but there’s nothing I love more than looking back at how much fun i’ve had and reminiscing on what we did.

Don’t be fussed about WiFi – Embrace where you are, your surroundings and the fabulous time your having you can update your status on Facebook once your back at the hotel. Explore and appreciate what’s beyond you and around you.

Wear sunscreen & mosquito spray – If your silly like me you’ll think you won’t need but when mosquitos invade the right side of your face you regret it more than ever. Lesson learnt always make sure you have the important protection measures with you at all times.

Make a list – If there’s certain things you want to do make a list in your phone or in a little book that you can carry along with you and tick off as you go. As it can be hard to remember all what you want to do in the heat of the moment and excitement.

These are just a couple of tips I wanted to share, I hope you enjoyed reading them.

How to maintain pearly white teeth:

My teeth are one of the things I treasure quite a lot I mean if you had braces you can probably relate. But I had them for quite a while so I cherish the end results a lot. A key part of my life is a skin care routine but for my teeth I like to have a teeth routine to keep them just how they are and nice and white. I thought I’d share with you guys some of the products I’ve been using in my routine too.

WhiteWash by NANO teeth whitening – Nano teeth whitening are a company that sell a whole range of products just for your teeth. To maintain them and to keep them pearly white. The teeth whitening strips are such an easy and safe way to get white teeth in the comfort of your own home. I love them because you can take them if your going away and they’re just so easy to use. It also comes with a mouthwash and toothpaste to accompany the strips which is perfect to use straight after applying a pair of the strips.

Carbon COCO – Carbon Coco is a natural teeth whitening company which specialises in activated charcoal which I think is really clever. It comes in two parts the activated charcoal toothpaste and the activated charcoal powder. It’s all natural which is always good to avoid any harmful chemicals and the results are fabulous! I mean you can’t go wrong, charcoal has been a major winner throughout 2017 and I think it will follow through 2018 so do get on the bandwagon and try it!

Do let me know if you’ve tried any of these. I’ll be updating my instagram with results so do follow me for regular updates.

5 food places in Manchester you need to visit!

As you know I’m from Manchester and I love it. There’s so many things to do, places to eat at and it’s overall such a great city to be from. For Today’s post I thought I’d share 5 of my favourite places to eat at.

Scene Street Indian Kitchen Spinningfields – Scene is a Indian Kitchen and is located in Spinningfields. I’ve been here for lunch and I can say I love their lunch menu. I’ve also been here in the evening and the atmosphere is so good. I love the vibe inside the restaurant the decor is very old school and retro. I do love Indian food and I can say it’s one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to.  So I’d definitely head down if you love Indian food or just want a nice meal.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen Spinningfields – As you may or may not know I do love a good burger. One of my favourite places for a burger is Gourmet Burger Kitchen. These are located nearly everywhere and the lunch menu is a definite winner as you get so much for your money. So it’s definitely worth it, plus the burgers are one of the best I’ve tasted. This is more casual if you wanted to grab a bite for lunch and maybe in the evening.

Opium Lounge – Opium might just be my favourite place in Manchester. It’s located just near the Great Northern Warehouse next to All Star bowling. It does the BEST pizza as you can probably tell. The interior and the atmosphere inside the restaurant is gorgeous! As well as for lunch I’ve been in the evening and it’s such a good place to go for a meal and drinks whether that’s with family , friends or co-workers.

Ezra & Gil – Coffee shops are one of my favourite places for a catch up. I mean a coffee and good company you can’t go far wrong. Ezra and Gil is located in the Northern Quater and as you know it’s one of the coolest parts of Manchester – well I think anyway. You can pop into Ezra and Gil for breakfast and even brunch they do the best brownies I can assure you.

New Yorker American Street Food – As I previously mentioned I love my burgers. New Yorker is one of my favourite places for street food. The interior of the place is so cool and urban. I love how they serve their food as well as the whole experience of ordering your food. I’m not going tell you, you’ll have to visit and see how you can grab your food. They do the best milkshakes as well as desserts. I mean if it’s a cheat day this is the best place to be.

What is your favourite food place? Comment below.

Tips and tricks for an Instagram-able scrapbook!

As you all know one of my favourite things to do is capture memories of all the journeys I go on, things I do and places I visit. I’m that friend that always has their camera on taking pictures of literally everything – papping the food before we tuck in, taking a picture of where we’ve come or a pap of what we’re getting up to.

I thought I’d put together a little blog post of all the little things you can do to collect memories and how to keep them all safe in a scrapbook.

Keep everything – Train tickets, cinema tickets any sort of ticket or wristband is any easy way to remember something you did. With this foundation you’ll be able to add pictures and build up from there.

Polaroids & photobooths – This is one of my favourite ways to capture instant memories. I love my polaroid camera I try and take it everywhere I can. Also photobooths are my favourite as all my friends know! Another alternative is apps that let you print out photos in a polaroid style just like Cheerz who I’ve mentioned previously.

Get a cute scrapbook – There is such a large variety of what you can pick from. Whether you want a large one or just a small one it’s entirely your choice. It can have a print or you can get a plain one and either draw on the cover if your feeling arty or use wrapping paper of your choice with a cool print to add to the cover.

Be arty – Doodle on your scrapbook, write dates add quotes or sayings/inner jokes which are special to you to personalise your scrapbook to you and the people who are important to you. Add stickers which is an easy way to spice up the book also.

Ribbon & washy tape – Add ribbon to the borders of images it makes them look even cooler and even washy tape which is one of my favourites to outline images and tickets and even the spine of my scrapbook.

*Keepsakes & Memories with Cheerz!

If your like me and enjoy taking photos of literally everything I assure you you’ll love what Cheerz do! Cheerz are a company who allow you to get your favourite images in all different forms from fridge magnets to photo albums to even wall decor.

I received 9 fridge magnets personalised with the photos I chose. The selection process is super easy and to make it even easier they have an app which is available on the App store as well as Google play. You just have to upload the photos you’d like and select which product you like and then you’ll have a Cheerz parcel at your door before you know it. Delivery is super quick and your products arrive all safe and sound in the cutest and securest packaging.

I fell in love with the quality of the pictures. They’re so glossy and not even blurry which is great because I thought the quality would decrease. They’re a perfect gift for any occasion and re-vamp your fridge nicely too. I mean what better place to put memories where you go everyday – to the fridge.

Cheerz have so much variety and are perfect if you’re struggling for gift ideas. It’s super easy and super quick and I’d definitely recommend their services. Check them out by clicking here.

To assist you with your orders here’s a 10% off your first order with Cheerz with the code: LJUOOC.

3 years of KiranAlix…

Once again I’m lost for words I’ve blogged every week for the past 3 years and loved every minute and will continue to do so. I don’t want to be soppy and all but blogging has been one of the few things I’m super passionate about and for it to succeed makes it even better.

It’s been 3 years, never did I imagine I could do it for this long! But look what I’ve done and hopefully many more years to come! I’ve improved, I’ve learnt tips on flatlays and been to amazing events & met some fabulous people each year I say it’s been my favourite year. I will probably continue to do so, as every year it gets better and better. I’m forever grateful for getting to work with brands and meeting new bloggers through social media as well as events. The blogosphere is the best environment, as most of you bloggers will know and it’s honestly a pleasure to be associated with such a kind and uplifting family!

I’m not going to be soppy any longer! Just a big thank you once again for everyone who supports me, every brand I’ve worked with and all the amazing people I’ve met this year. Once again the journey continues, a fashion lover & a bit of everything else blogger is ready to take on another year! I’ll also be having a whole blog revamp this week in celebration of 3 years so look out for the relaunch.

What have you loved on my blog this year? Comment below.
